David Wylie

Associate NMAHP Director

David has been involved in healthcare leadership for over 25 years. He is currently Associate NMAHP Director at NHS Education for Scotland having previously been Head of Podiatry in Glasgow for 9 years. He is also Director of Professional Education at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow) where he is a Fellow and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine. He has completed two postgraduate degrees and his research in culture and leadership, and experience in service redesign provide national and international speaking and consultancy opportunities. He has published in these areas, particularly focusing on using leadership and change management models to drive whole system performance improvement. A Leadership finalist at NHS Scotland’s 2016 Scottish Health Awards, he is a Glasgow Warriors season ticket holder and enjoys pub quizzes, single Islay malts and a fine red Rioja.
