Dr Alpesh Mistry
Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist
I am a fellowship trained Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist. My current NHS post is held at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals.
I completed my radiology training in Norwich and completed a Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2013. My interests are musculoskeletal ultrasound, soft tissue tumours, rheumatology, spine and sports imaging. In addition to providing a range of MSK diagnostic and interventional studies, I provide imaging services to several professional football clubs and rugby clubs, as well as their respective sport academies. I also provide services to elite sports institutions in the North West. I have provided sports imaging and intervention support in major competitions, recently at the World Gymnastics Championships and Rugby League World Cup 2023.
I am also an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Liverpool providing education and teaching with the Northwest School of Radiology and to allied health professionals. I have published research in peer reviewed articles in various areas related to MSK radiology and have reviewed for several journals.
