Michael Stephenson
Podiatrist and Founder of Tomorrow’s Podiatry
A graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, Michael enjoys all aspects of Podiatry but has an interest in resolving fungal nails, MSK soft tissue ailments pertaining to the lower limb and was part of the first cohort in the Royal College of Podiatry skin surgery course. He is active in the wider Podiatric community, a former council member and Vice President of the Royal College of Podiatry, and currently Chair of the local branch and a Deputy Professional Editor of the journal, The Podiatrist.
Michael is a fervent believer that building a stronger and more proactive podiatric community starts by developing a firm foundation within our student population. Over the past four years, he has been lucky enough to work with fantastic students and podiatrists to develop Tomorrow’s Podiatry, a student-led community focused on developing resources for students. Together, they have launched an annual set of student-focused awards, a weekly Facebook live stream, leadership skills day, and a research communication strand Podiatry in 3 Minutes. The most exciting aspect of being involved with Tomorrow’s Podiatry has been watching students take ownership of their projects and express their passion for the profession.
